Hélène Boulègue

Flute

When the French flutist Hélène Boulègue plays, “every tone is expression and color, emotion and sound” (Tageblatt, March 2019). She is the winner of the Kobe International Flute Competition and records for the Naxos label. Her debut CD featuring flute music by André Jolivet was released in the winter of 2019 and has been praised by critics. She has performed as a soloist in several European countries as well as in Japan, Taiwan, and the USA

With studies under distinguished teachers in both France and Germany and experience in orchestral playing in Luxembourg, Germany, and the Netherlands, Hélène Boulègue is a highly versatile flutist. She is strongly convinced of the importance of passing on traditions and knowledge and gladly gives master classes. When she packs away her flute at the end of the day, she enjoys playing badminton and studying Japanese.
